Over the years diving Malta increased in popularity from the odd diveschool to many diveschools who offer both shore and boat dives.Due to its deep dive sites which are close to shore, shore diving malta is very popular.I would say that 80% of diving Malta is done from shore.Cirkewwa Reef,Blue Hole gozo diving site,Reqqa Point are easily accessible,though they are dived by boat too.Diving Malta is seeing more maltese divers enrolling in it diversifying from what seen as a dangerous sport or as a taboo to a popular summer sport.Diving Malta can be done almost all year round as the sea temperature does not go below 14celcius.For diving Malta by boat one has to pay normally 10 euros extra per dive boat.Diving Malta is known for it`s visibilty with diving malta visibilty reaching 30 metres.

By far the best diving Malta is in southwest Gozo at Dwejra Point(Gozo).In Gozo, divers can visit two natural wonders of the Mediterranean :the gigantic arch known as the Azure Window (photo above)at the tip of Dwejra Point, and the inland from this rocky outcrop the Inland Sea (photo above left), a sheltered lagoon cut by an awesome fissure which runs through the headland,offering divers 25m of depth below underchanging cliffs.Further south Gozo,the landmass rears up vertically,with few entry points except at Xlendi Bay.

From Xlendi towards the east of the Gozo(Malta) much of the coastline is accessed by dive boat.So you can experience diving Malta or Gozo by boat.
