Coral Cave is a huge semi circular cave under the cliffs of west Gozo. The scuba diving is to be done from shore either from coral gardens or negotiating a 1-2 metre jump over a more aventurous entrance. The top of the cave is full of coral (photo1).Bubbles are often seen at the top of the cave. The cave is very good for photography and if u are lucky u can see some sea horses which are often seen in this cave.It is ideal for photgraphy. The caves depth is 28 metres, sandy bottom.Great care should be kept for buoyancy so as not to murk the water.A smaller cave is at the end of the cave left hand side. For no reason this cave should be expolored as some fatalities happened here in the past.If the vis is murked the way out cannot be found.
After spendin 15-20 minutes in the cave one can continue the dive towards
blue hole, coral gradens or the chimney.
